Is homosexuality curable or is it considered an inherited disease?
An increasing number of national organizations of psychologists and psychiatrists have taken homosexuality out of the disease category altogether. Although some researchers adhere to a genetic basic, a greater proportion consider:homosexuality to be a result of early learning experiences which are conducive to the differentiation of sexual behavior in a homosexual rather than a heterosexual direction. One does not “cure” such a sexual orientation; a person may change directions, but the sick-well model does not apply.
